  • Fly Me to the Moon—a charity event benefiting Leaps N Boundz, a sports-oriented nonprofit for special-needs kids—will be held at the . The red carpet event will feature art, a DJ, a silent auction and more, and begin at 8 p.m. Go here for more info.

  • School board items postponed from previous meetings will be tackled at a special meeting of the board at 6 p.m. at the . Go here for more info. The last regular meeting of the school year happens June 30 at the same time and place.

Other Happenings

  • Following preview shows earlier this month, The Naked Army, an improvisationally based take on the Artistophanes comedy Lysistrata, opens in proper form tonight at The Powerhouse Theatre (3116 Second St.). The show starts at 8 p.m., and admission is $20. “We used improvisation, clowning, music, movement and extensive research to explore new ways to tell the story while remaining faithful to the original spirit of the play," Director Matt Weedman said in a statement. "The result is something that is wildly funny and anarchic, but also deeply thoughtful and personal.”
  • Al-Qaida and its threat to the United States—from Afghanistan and Pakistan, in particular—will be discussed at RAND (1776 Main St.) starting at 6:30 p.m. Giving the talk will be Seth Jones, who is an adviser to a commanding general of the U.S. Special Operations Forces in Afghanistan and a senior political scientist at RAND.
  • The hosts its latest "Meet the Winemakers" evening starting at 5 p.m. The folks of Martilde—responsible for Malvasia Piume, Bonarda Ghiro, Barbera La Strega and other selections—will be pouring their specialties in the Wine Bar. Go here for more info.
