'Killer' Hummus Taking Over Yangtze's
The Hummus Bar Express is opening on the Third Street Promenade near Arizona Avenue.
The former home of 's on the Third Street Promenade now belongs to Hummus Bar Express.
Eater LA reports that the space was sold to new owner Tal Yona of Hummus Bar and Grill in Tarzana. The menu there includes huge, fluffy pita bread, an array of salads—spicy eggplant, warm mushroom and beets—hummus and grilled meats.
Yelp reviewers give the spot an average of four out of five stars and rave about the "killer hummus and laffa." Some gripe about the prices, which appear to be on par with most Santa Monica restaurants.

The hummus bar isn't the only new dining option coming to the . At the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard, a new fast-food Asian restaurant is opening in the former La Salsa space.

The Hummus Bar Express is at 1333 3rd Street Promenade. There's no word yet on a possible opening date.
