L.A. Leggers to Hold 5K During CicLAvia in Tribute to Boston Bombing Victims

The 5K will be held as part of CicLAvia on Venice Boulevard.

Members from the Santa Monica-based L.A. Leggers running club will take a moment Sunday to pay tribute to the victims of the Boston Marathon with a special 5K at CicLAvia.

"If marathoners know anything, they know how to move forward in the face of adversity," an email sent out early Thursday states.

Nearly a dozen runners from L.A. Leggers took part in the Boston Marathon, with several witnessing the bombings that killed three people and injured scores of others near the finish line.
