  • If you're a fan of 's widely heralded music program, tune in to this: The annual is happening this evening. Musicians from the school's orchestra and band programs will unite with the Madrigal Ensemble, Chamber Singers and Chorale of Samohi Choir to perform Lord Nelson Mass by Haydn and “Let God Arise" from Handel’s Chandos Anthem. The show starts at 7 p.m. in Barnum Hall; there's a suggested donation of $10 (half as much for students).

The Runner-Up

  • Representatives from 140 colleges and universities will be at today for the school's Spring College Fair. The transfer-friendly college will hold the event from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fountain Quad on the main campus.

Other Happenings

  • One of last year's best-received movies, The Social Network, will screen for free in the 's MLK Auditorium from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. After the flick, you'll likely want to join Facebook but won't leave with too positive an impression of co-founder Mark Zuckerberg (who is played by Jesse Eisenberg).
  • Meanwhile, if computers are baffling you altogether, you might want to head upstairs to the library's Computer Classroom for an "E-mail for Beginners" class happening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Seating is first come, first served.
  • The Main Library seems to be where it's at today: In addition to the above events, a lecture dubbed "Nutritional Imbalances and Food Allergies" will take place in the Multipurpose Room from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The talk will be given by Jeannie Elmstrom, an acupuncturist and holistic food allergy elimination specialist from Balance Westside Wellness.

  • The Chamber of Commerce puts on its latest event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at .
