Among the speakers will be David Brown, executive director of Descanso Gardens; Brian Sullivan, Descanso Gardens horticulture director; Walt Warriner, community forester; and Dryden Helgoe, Recreation & Parks commissioner.

  • Trying to break into the acting business? Learn a few pointers at the improvisation workshop happening from 1 to 2 p.m. at the . The three-week workshop is being hosted by Anna Stramese, who was formerly the head of the BFA Performance Program at the University of Southern California's School of Theatre.
