Sneak Peek: Blue Plate Taco

An update to the traditional taco stand, the restaurant at the Shore Hotel will have a beachy, casual vibe.

Blue Plate is expanding its reach with a new, casual Mexican food restaurant at the Shore Hotel.

This isn't . Renderings show a sleek, modern dining area that mirrors the vibe of the Ocean Avenue hotel and sister sites, , also on Ocean Avenue, and on Montana Avenue.

"We didn't want a restaurant that would be too stuffy or fancy," said Marta Hagan, director of sales and marketing at the Shore Hotel. "We wanted a good gathering place for people to meet, eat and enjoy the view of the ocean."

Main dishes will include salads, tacos and grilled seafood and meats, accompanied by sides of homemade tortillas and tortilla chips. Arguably the most tantalizing item: signature lobster truffle tacos.
