UCLA, St. John's Named to List of Best Hospitals in L.A.

and are among the best hospitals in Los Angeles, according to new rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

UCLA ranks 15th on the magazine's Best Hospitals list, which was released Tuesday. St. John's ranks 33rd.

The Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center topped the rankings for Los Angeles and the western U.S.

Professional reputation, patient satisfaction, volume of patients were among the criteria used to establish the rankings, which will appear in a related Best Hospitals guidebook to be released Aug. 30.

Both UCLA and St. John's are currently under construction but open for service.
