Plus, the pier won't open to the public until 1 p.m. Money from the event will go toward helping to prevent child abuse and neglect through a variety of programs.

Why go: A woman’s spiritual journey meets a disastrous fate in what has been called one of the greatest plays of the world stage, originally brought to life by the legendary playwright, Henrik Ibsen. Adapted by Doug Kaback, the English version of this play promises to be a haunting experience.

Why go: The Santa Monica College Photography Gallery will feature Josh Sanseri’s Rock ‘n’ Roll’s Not Dead, It Just Smells Funny. This rock ‘n’ roll inspired photo exhibition will feature portraits of several musicians and bands, such as The Flaming Lips, Little Dragon, Deadmau5, Built to Spill, The Avett Brothers and many more.

Why go: This unique play centers on a pair of married actors whose relationship is tested when the wife becomes involved with the play’s director. This play within a play is sure to offer an intricate web of drama and entertainment for the audience.
