Wilshire's Throwing a Paddy O'Party, $2 Green Beer

St. Patrick's Day party at Wilshire Restaurant benefits the Westside Food Bank.

You've heard of the Christmas-time SANTA Monica Pub Crawl. Now there's an event for Irish jiggers and Celtic dancers.

In partnership with the same team that produces the popular winter pub crawl, Wilshire Restaurant is throwing a St. Patrick's Day bash, a "Paddy O'Party," with an Irish-inspired menu, drink specials and DJs.

Costumes and green attire are highly encouraged, of course.

There's a suggested at-the-door donation of $10, a portion of which will benefit the Westside Food Bank, according to organizer Kim Koury of Spin PR.

"Pot of Gold" drink specials include $2 green beer from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., plus $6 Irish coffees, whiskey shots, Irish car bombs, and Guinness. After 1 p.m., green beer will be $5.

On the brunch menu—which will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.—are: corned beef sliders, Irish stew, bangers and mash, and fish and chips.

At noon, Erik DiNardo, who plays coffee house rock, will perform live, followed by DJ Riff Raff from 2 to 4 p.m. and DJ Casey Connor from 4 to 6 p.m. The Irish House Mafia will close out the music set from 6 to 9 p.m.

The party will last into the night, but Koury suggests arriving early. RSVP for guaranteed entry at paddyoparty.eventbrite.com.
