PLEASE NOTE: All participants must purchase a $65 materials kit directly from Delia's site before 3/30/14 at http://phoenixmagyk.com/metal-clay-art-classes-i-teach/calendar. Kit includes silver clay, a gemstone and everything you'll need to complete your class project. For materials questions please contact Delia direct at delia at phoenix magyk.com.

Design, model, texture, fire and finish a lovely silver pendant from start to finish! Even if you have never created jewelry before, you will be inspired by how easy it is to make striking work with silver clay. This wonderfully malleable material consists of fine silver particles suspended in a water/flour binder that can be formed like modeling clay. When fired with a torch or in a kiln, the binder burns away and the maker is left with a pure silver object (.999 silver). Open to 18+, no experience required. All enrollees must also buy a kit on Delia's site (see above for contact info) - note that unless the class is cancelled kits are non-returnable.

Delia Marsellos-Traister is a jewelry artist, photographer and metal clay arts instructor, working as an artist in PMC (Precious Metal Clay) for the last seven years. She exhibits and sells her jewelry and metal sculpture at Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro as well as her Etsy shop (PhoenixMagyk). "When I teach, I teach from the perspective that there is possibility and transformation that takes place. We are all artists creating every day - it's good for the soul and sharing it with others is even better." She is a Certified PMC Artisan, through Rio Grande, a Level 3 Certified Artisan through PMC Connection and was recently made a Certification Instructor with PMCC.
