At 1450 Ocean: Needle Felted Cell Phone Cover with Angharad Caceres

$20, online at https://recenroll.smgov.net/adet.sdi?activity_id=34068, or call 310-458-2239, communityclasses@smgov.net for info.

Using needle felting we will “paint” a small picture onto a piece of recycled wool sweater, then seam it into a handy cell phone case - protect against those inevitable knocks. Needle felting allows for greater control of color, shape and line than wash-felting, and the results are quick and amazing; give it a try!

Angharad Caceres is a lifelong crafter and until recently the owner of the Urban Craft Center in Santa Monica. Beginning w...ith the Campfire group she belonged to in elementary school, she has dabbled in a huge variety of crafts (many of them glue gun dependent) but especially enjoys those that create objects with purpose. Bookbinding, soapmaking, knitting, and sewing are at the top of her list. Teaching has always been a part of her life, from the 4th and 5th grades she taught in Portland, Oregon, to the classes she ran at the Urban Craft Center, she is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and passion for making.
