Join us on May 3rd in the 1930's WPA art deco Barnum Hall theatre  to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Charlie Chaplin's hilarious first screen appearance as the “Little Tramp,” the character that would become his best known on-screen alter ego. His portrayal of this tragicomic character in "Kid Auto Races at Venice"  instantly made Chaplin the biggest star in Hollywood. 

Featuring Christoph Bull, internationally acclaimed silent cinema organist and  University Organist at UCLA & Royce Hall performing live on the massive 1921 Wurlitzer Theater pipe organ.

"The Immigrant", 1917, Chaplin survives a comically harrowing voyage only to have his American Dream blocked by a bullying waiter in this masterpiece of social satire which was later used as evidence to expel him from the US in 1952.
