Docent training, Annenberg Beach House

Become a volunteer docent at the Annenberg Beach House! The Santa Monica Conservancy is offering docent training
classes for interested and friendly people who will give tours at the Marion
Davies Guest House, Annenberg Community Beach House, at 415 Pacific Coast
Highway.  Three mandatory lectures are
scheduled at the Ken Edwards Center, 1527 4th Street in Santa Monica
from 2:00- 4:00 pm on three consecutive Saturdays - April 5, 12, 19,
followed by on-site training.  The
training classes cover William Randolph Hearst, Marion Davies, architect Julia
Morgan, our Gold Coast beach history, and the evolution of the site over
time.  Candidates are advised to visit
the site for a tour prior to enrolling; check days/hours open at
www.annenbergbeachhouse.com. Docents should be able to commit to two 3-hour
