An Evening with J.R. Martinez: A Santa Monica Reads Special Event

Last season, television viewers all over the world fell for J.R. Martinez, the wounded Iraq War veteran who won Dancing with the Stars with charm, grit and positivity. Embodying a message of survival, strength and spirit, J.R. became a hero to millions and helped to remind us that what you see on the outside is not always an accurate measure of the person on the inside. Join us as J.R. visits Santa Monica to share his story and discuss his new autobiography, Full of Heart, with entertainment journalist Mekeisha Madden Toby. A book sale and signing will follow the discussion. On-site book sales provided by Barnes & Noble. This is a ticketed event. Free tickets will be released in the Main Library lobby one hour prior to program. One ticket per guest. Guests must be present to receive a ticket. No reservations available.
