Come down for a special holiday version of our ongoing teen open stage, Downbeat 720. For the last eleven years talented local teen poets, dancers, and musicians have graced our stage twice a month between September and June. Each year we invite the public to come and enjoy a unique and eclectic evening of uplift and entertainment as part of the Fireside Series. Downbeat 720 is hosted by Joe Hernandez-Kolski and Joshua Silverstein, with musical stylings by DJ Jedi. The evening will be a mix of our regular teen open stage plus a curated lineup of some of our Downbeat alumni, who will be joined by a special adult guest star. The program will be suitable for 13 and up.
It's all part of Fireside at the Miles, the annual celebration of up-close performances by the warmth of the fireside, featuring local jazz, opera, dance, poetry and more every weekend beginning at 8pm. Doors open at 7:15pm so come by to warm up and get a snack! December 14th, 2012 through January 26, 2013 in Santa Monica’s landmark Miles Memorial Playhouse in Reed Park.
