Pain Psychology Seminar- Learn Cognitive Therapies for Chronic Pain

Did you know that there are natural methods for controlling and reducing your chronic pain? The human body has a way of remembering pain, even after the source has been treated. Fortunately, you can learn techniques to reduce the cognitive and emotional expressions of pain and the anxiety associated. Psychodynamic therapy, hypnosis, and cognitive-behavioral therapy are proven effective tools for pain management, and this seminar will teach you how to use them.

Join PMIR and guest speaker, Dr. Don Goodman, well-known Clinical Pain Psychologist and UCLA faculty member and lecturer, as he explains and teaches cognitive approaches to treating your chronic pain.

The event will be held on Thursday January 24, 2013 from 7pm - 8pm at PMIR Medical Center’s Community Relations Office (1727 Berkeley Street Studio 3 Santa Monica, CA).
