Santa Monica Pony Baseball is a non-profit organization that was created to provide all players between the ages of 4-14 the opportunity to participate in baseball. We want to Protect Our Nation's Youth as they grow into young men and women and leaders of tomorrow. Santa Monica Pony Baseball is a community based program for everyone in the family to enjoy.
The primary features that distinguish PONY are the use of a two-year age bracket system and scaled diamonds.
Players will
These base dimensions are the result of extensive
experimentation to determine the size on which players of each age group
can properly play the game of baseball. Pitching distance is also
scaled to the ability of the player in proportion to the size of the
diamond.
