Learn to Be a Sexy Speaker at JNET Santa Monica

Learn “How to Be a Sexy Speaker in 60 Seconds or Less” from Marion Claire, the Speaking is Sexy Coach, at the August meeting of JNET Santa Monica, the Jewish Business Networking Organization’s first Westside chapter. JNET Santa Monica meetings are hosted each month by the Sisterhood of Kehillat Ma’arav Synagogue.

A former sitcom writer and co-creator of "The Love Boat" TV series, Claire has been a speaker’s coach and speechwriter for the past 15 years. As a recovered agoraphobic, she has a special understanding of the fear of performing in front of an audience and speaks from personal experience on overcoming debilitating anxiety. Claire will teach how to createa successful 30- to 60-second intro (elevator) speech as well as highlight a few of the 155 tips on writing a speech, facing the audience, and overcoming fear from her book, Secrets of a Unique & Sexy Speaker. The book will be available for sale and Claire will do a book signing at the meeting.

Following the presentation, each attendee will have the opportunity to practice what they learned and give a 30-second introduction about their business. The person who does the best job, as judged by Claire, will be awarded a prize. Light refreshments will be served.

The goal of JNET is to help people grow their businesses. It is similar to a chamber of commerce but smaller, everybody is Jewish, and the chapters meet at temples. There's a warm, helpful feeling at JNET meetings, and each chapter definitely has its own personality.

JNET Santa Monica meetings throughout 2013 are scheduled on the following Wednesday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m.: September 11, October 9, November 13, and December 11.
