Ocean Appreciation Weekend

Learn all about the habitats and inhabitants of the Santa Monica Bay Aug. 3rd and 4th, during Ocean Appreciation weekend at Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, 1600 Ocean Front Walk. The marine education center will be open from 12:30 to 6:00 p.m. both days.
Games, arts and crafts projects, naturalists’ presentations and hands-on exploration let visitors discover the sandy bottom, rocky shore, kelp forest and open ocean, and meet the animals that inhabit them. A face-painting station and a photo booth will be on-going both days and catch a puppet show at 1:30 p.m. and a naturalist’s talk at 2:30 p.m. Saturday story time with our ace teller of tales begins at 3:30 p.m. and on Sunday a feeding at the shark exhibit starts at 3:30 p.m. Call 310-393-6149 for more information or visit: http://www.healthebay.org/event/ocean-appreciation-weekend-day-1
