This
holiday season, Los Angeles Children’s Theater presents a musical and magical
stage adaptation of “Pinocchio” as part of the Children’s Theater Festival.
“Pinocchio” is a story about love told through the
eyes and ears of a puppet who wants to be a “real” boy. Inspired by the Disney animated film and
adapted from Carlo Collodi’s novel, LACT’s “Pinocchio” is a world premiere.
The characters include a naïve and mischievous
puppet, Pinocchio; his ever-present conscience, Cricket; a kind and gentle wood
carver, Gepetto; a slick talking Fox, a Mime, a Blue Fairy, and a host of
puppets. With memorable songs, awe-inspiring magical effects, and continuous
interaction with the audience this is a “must see” show for the holidays.
”Pinocchio”
runs in repertory with “The Velveteen Rabbit” as part of the Children’s Theater
Festival through January 5. For full
