The MY HERO Project - Community Event
Come enjoy live jazz music, a light reception, award winning short films and conversation at The MY HERO Project community outreach event. This family-friendly event is open to the public.
This event will feature Stu Pearl and the New Roads Community Jazz Band.
The MY HERO Project is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that uses media and technology to celebrate the best of humanity and empower people of all ages to realize their own potential to effect positive change. MY HERO provides free curricula, hero-themed media and support to thousands of teachers while also teaching media-arts techniques to those in underrepresented communities. Students of all ages use its digital story-telling tools and contribute their own socially conscious essays, art, music and films to MY HERO’s ever-growing multi-media archive at www.myhero.com.
The CENTER FOR EDUCATIONAL JUSTICE is the home to twelve nonprofit partners, selected by New Visions, who share the communal goal of providing educational programming for at-risk youth in Los Angeles. For more information, please visit http://myhero.com/CEJ
