West LA Democratic Club meeting on Elections 2014 - the State of our Democracy

The West LA Democratic Club will be holding a meeting on "Elections 2014: The State of Our Democracy." Eric Bauman (Chair of the L.A. County Democratic Party and Vice-Chair of the California Democratic Party) will be speaking to us about this fall's elections. He'll be joined by Ben Peck (Federal Affairs Manager of Demos, a leading public advocacy group in Washington, D.C.). This will be an exciting meeting as we discuss the state of our democracy.

We'll also be holding our annual club officer election. We have additional changes to the Club's By-Laws, standardizing some rules about how long an annual membership is, membership qualification to vote in Club elections, and Meeting notice length. And we'll be voting on endorsing Tim Goodrich, a past Club Board member and Iraq vet, for Torrance City Council.

Doors open at 6:30 and there is a $5 donation, although no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Come and join us!
