Santa Monica History Museum Exhibit: "Life At The Miramar"

Images & documents in this exhibition are from the start point of open space (circa 1874) deed of land purchase by Senator John Pervical  Jones from Col. Robet S. Baker.

The Miramar served as a center of activities and social gatherings of the Jones and notable guests, pageants and outdoors theatricals which continued after The Miramar became an hotel, in 1924.  There was a transformationof landscape and city development through the 1890s till Sen. Jones death in 1912.

This exhibit showcase rarely seen photos, documents and artifacts of life at The Miramar as the Jones home and an hotel.
