The Ultimate Food Fight: Whole Foods Market Chefs Fight to “Stuff This!”

Series of cook-offs challenge chefs to create the ultimate holiday stuffing dish with a Los Angeles twist to support Venice Housing Corp Food Bank

WHAT: Top Whole Foods Market chefs from Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego and Los Angeles will compete in a series of intense cook-offs to see who can create the ultimate holiday stuffing dish with a fresh, local twist in less than 45 minutes. 

After four rounds, The Ultimate Food Fight: Stuff This! makes the final stop in Los Angeles to challenge the skills of five talented chefs from Whole Foods Market to make a delicious holiday stuffing that reflects the flavors of Los Angeles. 

Creating a gourmet stuffing out of thin air would be far too easy for these expert chefs! Each contestant will be given the same basic stuffing recipe, but must incorporate a selection of secret, non-traditional local and seasonal ingredients, from seafood to artisan cheese, to put a fresh, local twist on their recipe.

Customers and viewers alike will learn simple tips from Whole Foods Market chefs to create the ultimate holiday stuffing that captures the unique taste of Los Angeles.  

The chefs will fight to accumulate points from one cook-off to the next, vying to win the ultimate bragging rights just in time for Thanksgiving, and the right to feature their recipe in Whole Foods Market stores.  Judges for the Los Angeles event will include: 

• Chef Jason Bowlin,  Catch at Casa Del Mar
• Chef Ben Ford,  Ford’s Filling Station
• Chef Casey Lane,  The Tasting Kitchen

In the spirit of giving, admission for shoppers to witness the cook-off will be two Thanksgiving themed shelf stable food items benefiting the Venice Housing Corp Food Bank.
