Just a puppy! Not sure where Blunkett got his name but I do know that Blunk(ett) is full of spunk. Adopted from the shelter as a 2-month old puppy, our little friend came back to us a few months later, his owner nowhere to be found. A very sad fate for a sweet boy.
A pup with an unusual gait, an odd way of walking and of prancing as he tried to romp about his kennel once again. No one could figure out the mystery behind Blunkett's strut. He looked a bit like a peg-leg sailor, hoisting one leg out in a circular motion and then drawing it back in. A genetic cause?
Accidents were ruled out as nothing was broken. Some neurological mis-fire? When Blunkett arrived he was indeed in a bit of pain. But nowadays, though he still has a different type of trot, our friend is happy-go-lucky and seems to bear no discomfort.
Blunkett is still a puppy at 8 months of age and as many joyous years ahead of him, we hope. He looks like a mini-black lab with perhaps some terrier and other guys mixed in. He's just 17 pounds and won't get that much bigger.
A perfect size for a junket. Our friend has been sharing his kennel with a variety of other dogs for several weeks now and is anxious to get his own place. It's time to move out.
Please consider meeting Blunkett and making that happen. He's already had enough go wrong in his young life. It's time for something to go right. Blunkett's Adoption ID number is A1373574.
This pup urgently needs adoption! If you ask which dog is the most popular and the most deserving at the shelter these days, the answer is sure to be Sharpie. This fellow came in covered in ticks, had minor injuries as well as dry, rough skin.
Yet he never let it get him down. Always a trooper, Sharpie persevered through weeks of antibiotics and flea treatment. He still needs some spa spoiling but is in far better shape these days.
Sharpie is a fabulous fellow, so excited to see his friends, so delighted to be running around the play yard. He is obedient and follows commands, knows all the basics, including giving you his paw and even two paws if you ask nicely.
Sharpie is 4 years old, a wonderful mix of a Rottweiler and a Sharpei, with a sense of humor that makes him unique. He's a chunky guy at 54 pounds but that just means all the more to hug. Sharpie absolutely needs out of the shelter immediately or his fate will not be what we want to hear about.
Please consider coming down and meeting this sharp and handsome player today. We're sure you will be enchanted and fall in love as much as Sharpie will with you. His Adoption ID number is A1390221.
