Santa Monica made the cut on CNN Money's new list of the "best places for the rich and single."
Slightly more than 40 percent of Santa Monica residents are unmarried, according to the website, and the city's median family income is $106,335.
Like much of southern California, life's a beach for wealthy singles in Santa Monica. Thanks to a year-round Mediterranean climate, locals flock to the waterfront to see and be seen. Score yourself a spot on the sand and hang with the hardbodies (this is the beach where Baywatch was filmed).
The pier's got a shout-out as did the apparent 50 offered across town.
Santa Monica is ranked No. 13 on the list, which includes 25 cities from across the country and nine from California. Redondo Beach was the No. 1 California city. The other Southern California city that made this year's list was Irvine.
