Parents spend a lot of money on Halloween costumes that kids wear once, maybe twice. So rather than tossing last year's costume, why not consider swapping it with other Santa Monica families?
The Fairview Branch Library and the city's Resource Recovery and Recycling Division have teamed up to bring about the inaugural Santa Monica Halloween Costume Swap.
It takes place Saturday, Oct. 19, but you have to bring your old costume in by Tuesday.
