Community Update

Disappointed is not even close. They did a terrible job on my lawn sprinklers, and overcharged by several thousand dollars. I'm 87 years old, and recalled that Hammer was considered the very best. I didn't question the cost and believed everything they told me. One of my sons learned I'd been grossly overcharged for the job, and he researched the laws involved. From the City Attorney, he learned that besides overcharging for the work, they had broken the law regarding the down payment. My son talked with the office manager of Hammer, and they refunded $3,300 of the $5,300 charge, and assured me that the one-year warranty is valid. When I made an appointment to have the system fixed, they told me that the company "management" said not to do any work at my address. So much for Hammer, which used to be the very best sprinkler and plumbing company in Santa Monica. Btw, they are no longer in Santa Monica -- moved to La Cienega in LA.
