"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Matthew 5:9
Another word for blessed is happy. True happiness comes from being at peace with God, having a relationship with Him. We cannot just be peaceful and pleasant as believers, we must seek out ways to make peace, to reconcile with others. God reconciled with us by sending His son to die for our sins. The least we can do is try to make peace in a troublesome situation.
Prayer: God, help me to be a peace-maker, not just a peace-lover.
Example: Take my cute little brother Jake, for example, he always was the one making peace in our family. He is definitely happily at peace with God.
