One star is too many.
Today, I brought my Highlander to be cleaned -- and upon my return the car was illegally parked off the Lincoln Blvd. Car Wash property in an adjacent alley behind Fisher Lumber -- with a $64 parking ticket.
When I asked the manager why my car was there and why there was a ticket, I was told it was my fault for not coming back sooner. I had informed them I would be back when I picked up my toddler from school. No mention that my car would be moved to an illegal spot if I did not come back in some -- undetermined -- period of time.
I had never received a ticket when I dropped my car off at any car wash, ever. Have anyone?
I asked why they did not contact me, they replied they did not have contact information for me and again it was my fault. I asked why I was not told that this was their process -- and also not asked for contact information if they needed to move the car. They replied it was my issue and I should just deal with it. I let them know I would not be paying for my cleaning, and he threatened me when I was direct about my frustration. It was an unsafe conversation. The manager was neither reasonable nor honest.
To add insult to injury, the car was actually not fully cleaned, although I had paid for an interior clean. The hatch area was untouched.
This is simply not a reputable (or safe) place for any car owner to patronize. What proprietor moves a car, gets a city parking ticket and then leaves you to pay for it and ask for payment for services?
If I treated my clients like this, I would simply have none.
I strongly recommend you do not patronize this loathsome facility. In fact, there is a union run car wash less than a mile away, called Bonus Car Wash. And they are competent, fair and lovely.
I will never make this mistake again, and I hope you do not either.
