"I don't even know what that is," said Santa Monica resident Faith Alexander when asked how Carmageddon had impacted her weekend.
Others avoided the freeway all together by taking Metro buses and carpools. A Venice resident meditating at Palisades Park—typically packed with tourists—said he enjoyed how peaceful it was Sunday morning.
