UCLA scientist appointed to Airport Commission.

At the April 23 Santa Monica City Council meeting, Professor Suzanne Paulson, UCLA Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, was nominated by Councilmember Ted Winterer and appointed by Council aclamation to the Santa Monica Airport Commission. She replaces Ofer Grossman who resigned from the Commission this past February after 12 years of service.

Professor Paulson, is known for her work measuring air pollutants around Santa Monica Airport. She should bring a timely and unique perspective to the Commission. I have had conversations with her on several occasions and I have always found her to be open minded, fair, and strong.

Congratulations to Suzanne and to all of us.
