Join us SATURDAY November 23rd for the 9th Annual MY HERO International Film Fest at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Since 2005, The MY HERO International Film Festival has been a platform for media artists who want to create positive social change through filmmaking. The festival celebrates young filmmakers and professionals alike, whose stories celebrate heroes from all walks of life.

We are proud to present films from: The Let It Ripple Series, an exploration in cloud filmmaking by Tiffany Shlain and The Moxie Institute; short documentaries from the GE FOCUS FORWARD series, which highlight individuals striving to improve the world through innovative thinking; a trailer for the feature documentary FEMME, produced by Sharon Stone and directed by Emmanuel Itier, which highlights heroic women who are positively transforming global society; and many more submissions from all over the globe!

Born on The 4th of July author Ron Kovic will present a special prize in his name to the film that best exemplifies the spirit of peace and non-violence. Amy and Kathy Eldon of Creative Visions will bestow a special Activist Award in honor of Kathy’s son Daniel, a journalist who was slain while reporting on the 1993 Somali conflict.
