Since Sunday my Move On petition has garnered 160 signatures (39 from Santa Monica) to shut down the pony rides and petting zoo at the Sunday farmers market in Ocean Park. Signers object to ponies circling round and round for hours, tethered to a pole, with loud music playing next to them.  Let's end this side show
and teach our children to be kind to animals.

if you get any of these Professional Animal Care Providers:Alamo Pintado Equine Med Center (805) 688-6510, Santa Lucia Farm (805) 688-3673, Pierce College Director Ron Wechsler (818) 710-3308, UCDavis Large Animal Clinic (530) 752-0290 to state they see "abuse" happening at the Farmers Market, I will be happy to protest the childrens ride and petting zoo!! I will make my personal mission to get it shut down. if not, It actually saddens me to see the extent Marcy will go to get the pony ride shut down. The amount of outright misinformation is shocking, the hypocrisy in our society and politicians is heartbreaking.

Fact: 3 things happen when an animal heads hanging low, close to the ground. 1- it is very relaxed 2- sleeping 3- eating. What people do is project their own issues on to what they see is going with the animal. Dogs are tethered all over town, tethered to someones hand, confined in houses and apartments with loss of true freedom, this happens every day, all day! What about those Marcy???

Marcy refuses to ask the Professional Animal Care Providers given to her, to get their expert advice on the situation!. Yet Marcy harasses the children and the animals! What kind of mind would do this? Do we want that type of mind teaching young people and making political decisions??
