3 Injured in 405 Fwy. Crash Near Getty Center

Four lanes were shut down after five vehicles collided in three separate accidents at the same location around 4:30 a.m.

At least three people were seriously injured early Wednesday morning when five vehicles collided on the southbound 405 Freeway just south of Getty Center Drive, City News Service reported.

The five vehicles were involved in three separate collisions at the same location around 4:30 a.m., leaving at least three people injured Cali,fornia Highway Patrol officer Ed Jacobs told City News Service.

Jacobs said the injured victims were taken to a hospital.

The Los Angeles Times reported that one victim sustained life-threatening injuries. 

Four lanes were initially shut down, backing up traffic on the southbound side to Burbank Boulevard in the Van Nuys area. All the lanes were re-opened before 5:30 a.m.
