Suspect flees after robbing the Union Bank on Montana Avenue Wednesday morning, Santa Monica Police say.

Local and federal authorities are investigating the armed robbery Wednesday of the Union Bank on 11th Street and Montana Avenue.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 40s wearing a brown baseball cap, dark rimmed prescription glasses and faded blue jeans, according to public information officer Sgt. Richard Lewis.
