Cars Open Fire Near Golf Course

No injuries were reported after occupants of a red sedan and Honda Accord fired multiple rounds at each other Sunday morning.

The occupants of two cars opened fire Sunday morning as they sped near the golf course at Lincoln Boulevard and Rose Avenue, spraying each other with bullets, police reported.

Golfers witnessed the shooting shortly after 11 a.m. as the cars sped east on Dewey Street "firing rounds at each other," said police Sgt. Richard Lewis.

Area hospitals were notified, but Lewis said the department was not aware of any injuries.
