Domestic Violence Call Leads to Drug Arrest in Santa Monica

Officers recover methamphetamine and tar heroin in the Santa Monica home.

A domestic violence call in Santa Monica led to the arrest of a woman on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and tar heroin.

Catrina Soldevila, 26, of Placerville was arrested May 17 in the 1400 block of Yale Street. Soldevila was freed on $10,000 bail May 21, according to jail records.

Santa Monica Police responded to a report of a domestic violence call at 12:55 a.m. May 17 on Yale Street and discovered a man and a woman arguing, SMPD Sgt. Richard Lewis said.

Officers spotted drug paraphernalia and some methamphetamine in plain sight, Lewis said. During a search, officers recovered tar heroin in the bedroom, he said.
