A crowd of at least 100 shoppers rushing into an Urban Outfitters store just after midnight on Friday at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica smashed a glass door, injuring about five people, The Los Angeles Times reported.
With the store offering Black Friday deals, too many people tried to enter through the front doors all at once, breaking a 12-foot glass door, and paramedics had to be called to the scene to treat a few people for minor cuts, according to the report.
