Homeless Man Arrested After Fleeing Police

Zachary Folsom led Santa Monica police on a foot race after being stopped for a vehicle code section violation.

On Jan. 9 at approximately 1:30 p.m. a motorcycle officer stopped a pedestrian at the Lincoln Blvd and I-10 off-ramp for a violation of a vehicle code section. As the officer was trying to write the violator a citation, the violator ran south on Lincoln Blvd and east on Michigan Ave.

The officer broadcast over his police radio that he was in foot pursuit and a nearby police unit cut off and blocked the subject from running any further.  He was arrested for fleeing from the police.

Suspect: Folsom Zachary, White male, 24-years-old, homeless. Bail: $10,000
