On Jan. 18 at approximately 7:20 p.m. officers responded to a call of narcotic sales in the area of 505 Olympic Blvd.
The officers were given a description of the person allegedly selling the narcotics. When they arrived, they found a person matching the description given to them, standing on the sidewalk. They began to talk to him and noticed that as they did, he put his hands in his pockets.
The officers asked him to remove his hands from his pockets because they thought that he could have a weapon in his pants pocket. As the person removed his hands, he had one of his fists clenched as if he had something in his hand. The officers asked him to sit on the curb while they conducted their investigation.
The subject complied and sat on the curb. As he did so, he discarded the object in his hand by sitting on it. The officers saw this and asked the subject to stand up. When he stood up, the officers found .54 grams of methamphetamine in a clear plastic baggie that he was sitting on.
Suspect: Matthew Joab Dunn, M/W, 2/28/77, 36, homeless. Bail: $10,000
