Man Commits Suicide on Santa Monica Boulevard
Police close the street while investigating reports of a man shooting himself Tuesday morning.
Santa Monica Police say a man committed suicide Tuesday morning on busy Santa Monica Boulevard, between 15th and 16th streets.
Spokesman Sgt. Richard Lewis said the police were called about 9:30 a.m. to 1500 block of Santa Monica, home to Busy Bee Hardware and Lexus Santa Monica, on reports of a man shooting himself.
A section of the bustling thoroughfare was shut down while police investigated.
