Man Falls From Bluffs, Lands On PCH

The fall onto the busy coast highway was probably an accident, according to Santa Monica Police.

A man in his late 30s tumbled down a bluff and landed on Pacific Coast Highway Tuesday in Santa Monica.

The man fell from the bluff around 11 a.m. and wound up in the 1200 block of Pacific Coast Highway, according to Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis.

The extent of the man's injuries was not immediately known.

Lewis said it appeared the man simply fell, and was not pushed.

"A lot of people sleep in the bluff from time to time," he said, noting it was unclear how the man wound up tumbling to the highway.
