About 200 employees were evacuated from the Santa Monica HBO offices in the 2500 block of Broadway Thursday evening while police investigated a bomb threat, the authorities said.
"Someone called [the office receptionist] and made a threatening statement," said Santa Monica Police Sgt. Richard Lewis. The caller said he was going to "blow something up."
The call was received at 4:48 p.m.
