Police Make Arrest in Months Old Bar Assault

The bar fight took place at Bar Pico last July.

A man suspected of knocking a woman unconscious with a champagne bottle during a bar fight last July in Santa Monica was free on bail Monday.

LAPD discovered that Trent Flores, 25, of Los Angeles, was wanted in Santa Monica after he was picked up for a minor traffic violation on Saturday, April 27.

In late July, Santa Monica Police responded to a fight at Bar Pico, located at 2819 Pico Blvd. When officers got to the bar, they found an adult female bleeding profusely from the head.

During their investigation, officers learned the victim was dancing when two females accused her of bumping into them and approximately six women jumped her.

Also during the fight, a male suspect approached with a champagne bottle and struck the victim on the head knocking her out. In late December, the suspect was identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Flores was booked for assault with a deadly weapon. He was freed on $30,000 bail on April 29.
