Santa Monica Firefighters Help Quell Venice Blaze

The house fire occurred on Sunday night; no injuries were reported.

Firefighters with the assisted in extinguishing a fire that erupted on the roof of a home in Venice on Sunday night.

No injuries have been reported.

Members of the SMFD were among the 37 firefighters who responded to the incident, and they helped extinguish the fire within less than a half-hour.

The fire broke out at a house located at 109 E. Paloma Ave. The incident was reported at 8:56 p.m., and rescuers reportedly saw the fire showing through the roof.
