Santa Monica Police Seek Public's Help in Attempted Murder Investigation

Police responded to a call shortly before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night in the alley of the 1800 block of Euclid St.

At 7:27 p.m. on Tuesday night, Santa Monica dispatch received a call of several subjects fighting in the alley to the rear of 1800 Euclid St. (East Alley).  As officers arrived, they found one male adult and one female adult in the alley in the 1900 block, both suffering from multiple stab wounds.  Both victims were transported to a local trauma center and are expected to survive.  

Sgt. Richard Lewis said at the time of the incident the victims were uncooperative and it was unknown if the fight was gang related. Lewis added that as the investigation is ongoing, at this stage the victims' names are not being released.

As of Tuesday evening, no suspects had been taken into custody.
