Homicide Victim Identified as Santa Monica Resident

Erica Escobar, 27, was found dead along with an 89-year-old man in a Culver City home Tuesday.

A woman who was killed in a recent double homicide in Culver City has been identified as Erica Escobar, 27, of Santa Monica.

The body of Escobar, and that of Lucien Bergez, 89, were found in a home on Tuesday morning. The home is located on the 4000 block of Huron Avenue, near Washington Boulevard, in Culver City.

Bergez had previously been identified, but the identity of Escobar was not made available to the public until Thursday.

Police have said it is unclear how Escobar and Bergez died, and whether they were related.
