Santa Monica Woman Killed in Fatal Crash in Westwood

Sheri Myers Olmon, 54, went head-on into a Maserati. Two of her passengers were also injured.

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene and two people were transported to UCLA Medical Center with injuries after a head-on collision in Westwood, a traffic detective said today.

The woman was identified as Santa Monica resident Sheri Myers Olmon, 54, said Coroner's Lt. Fred Corral.

The crash happened at 6:10 p.m. Saturday in the 10200 block of West Sunset Boulevard east of Beverly Glen Boulevard in Westwood, said Detective La Donna Cissell Day of the Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division.

A blue 2013 Maserati was westbound on Sunset Boulevard and struck an eastbound 2008 Honda Fit head-on, Cissell Day said.

Olmon, driving the Honda Fit, was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles firefighters, she said.

Two passengers in the Honda were transported to UCLA Medical Center for treatment of injuries, Cissell Day said.

The accident was under investigation, she said.
