An alleged sexual assault occurred Wednesday night near the intersection of Pearl St. and Euclid St., the said Thursday. Police are searching for the suspect.
The attack reportedly happened at 10 p.m. near the 1300 block of Pearl Street. According to the SMPD, the suspect ran up to the victim from behind, pushed her, struck her and forced her to the ground. He allegedly sexually assaulted the victim and fled east on Pearl.
The suspect is described as a white male between 25 and 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches or 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 140-150 pounds. Police also said he has blue or green eyes and short and curly blond hair. He reportedly wore a black suit that went from his neck to his ankles, possibly a one-piece black wetsuit.
An investigation is under way.
